Proposals

For us, a proposal is a formal definition of what the customer requirements are, how we can meet those requirements and what will it cost.

To develop a proposal we follow the following steps:

  1. Collect the requirements. Requirements come in many forms ranging from interviews to formal Request For Proposal (RFP) documents. Regardless of the how the requirements are gathered, they are the foundation upon which a solution is developed.
  2. Based on the requirements, a concept of the web site is developed. This includes the structure of the site, navigation attributes, graphics requirements and feature requirements.
  3. With a conceptual design completed we are able to estimate the labor requirement and any computer resource requirements. With the estimates it is possible to build a fee schedule.
  4. The proposal document is prepared including a requirements section, a conceptual design section and a fee schedule.

In some cases, a prototype site may be created to demonstrate the conceptual design or to illustrate technical capabilities.

When the proposal is completed it is presented to the customer. The customer has the opportunity to review the document and ask questions. If required, the proposal can be reworked to deal with any issues or additional requirements.

When the customer is satisfied with the proposal, a formal agreement to prepared and signed. At this point work begins.
