Configuring your email program

Mail boxes are created using a mailbox userid consisting of first name, a period and the the last name. For example: John Doe would have an e-mail address of "john.doe@domain.tld".

In these examples substitute your domain and top-level-domain (jmtservices.co) for domain.tld

When configuring an e-mail program there are a few pieces of information that are required:

  • Incoming Mail Server (Pop3): pop.domain.tld
  • Outgoing SMTP Server: mail.domain.tld
  • Account name or userid: yourfirstname.yourlastname (john.doe)
  • Password: - this will be supplied.
  • You must tell your mail program that the outbound server requires authentication. The link belows points to a page with a complete example for configuring MS Outlook and Outlook Express.
