Sending HTML Formatted E-Mails to maillistsIntroductionE-mail supports two formats. Text and HTML. A text e-mail is just that, simple text with no formatting possible. HTML e-mails allow HTML formatting commands to be used in an e-mail which allows much more visually appealing e-mails. Most mail clients support both formats. If your mail client allows you to format your e-mail then it is sending HTML e-mails. How to send html formatted e-mails to mail listsTo send HTML e-mail to the list you must be a list moderator. This means you are identified to the web site as someone who is allowed to send e-mails to a mail list. If you are not a moderator you can request to be added by using a "Add Moderator" service request. Normally you would use the web site to send text messages to a mail list but for HTML e-mails you can use your normal mail client, like Outlook. Address the e-mail to mail-list-name@lists.your-domain.tld. Format the e-mail as you want it to appear and then send it. After you send the e-mail you should get back the normal moderator e-mail. Simply reply to the e-mail and your message will be sent. "mail-list-name" is the name of your mail list. If you aren't sure of the mail list name use the e-mail utilities to look them up. "your-domain.tld" -s your domain name. For example: jmtservices.com TroubleshootingProblem: When I send the e-mail it goes to the list owner and I never get the moderator approval e-mail. Problem: I send the e-mail but I get a "failure notice" back that says: "ezmlm-store: fatal: I'm sorry, you are not allowed to post messages to this list (#5.7.2)" Frequently asked questions
