Setting up a Code of Conduct Information File
A "Code of Conduct" information file can be either organization wide or program specific. In either case it is simply a text file that will be viewed by users after the enter their online registration information. They must agree to the code or their registration will not be processed."
Which code to use is controlled by the program specifc "RegistrationConfig" file regardless of whether it is shared by the organization or is program specific. By default, programs are configured to use an organization wide Code of Conduct.
Creating and using an organization wide code of conduct
- Create or edit the common CodeOfConduct.txt file.
- You can create the file by uploading a text file that contains the Code of Conduct into the ORG/Registration/Text/CodeOfConduct.txt file.
- Or you can edit the default file by going to ORG -> ProgDir -> Administrators Area -> Text Editing -> Edit Registration Files -> CodeOfConduct.txt
- The default program registration configuration files will look for the CodeOfConduct.txt in the /downloads/Registration/Text directory. If the filename is changed, the new filename will have to be cofnigured in each individual program REgistrationConfig file.
Creating and using a program specific code of conduct
- Create or edit the program specific CodeOfConduct.txt file.
- You can create the file by uploading a text file that contains the Code of Conduct into the Sport/Program/Registration/Text/CodeOfConduct.txt file.
- Or you can edit the default file by going to Sport -> Program -> Utilities -> Text Editing -> Edit Registration Files -> CodeOfConduct.txt
- The default program registration configuration files will look for the CodeOfConduct.txt in the /downloads/Registration/Text directory. If a program specific Code of Conduct file is used the new filename needs to be entered into the appropriate configuration statement of the program registration config file.
